Twice now since I’ve been back in the Pacific NW I’ve had to have a Biliary drain set in place to to keep this damned second hand liver I got up and running properly. Maybe I should have Frank and Mike from Antique Archeology find it, they seem to always good stuff, even if it is a bitty bit crusty. Mike and could talk bikes while I convalesced.
So livers have two drain sides, left and right. My right side is block and being a pain, but the left side has the drain and flowing again. It’s a fairly painful process actually. They go in from the left or right or both, and thread a wire than slide the drain in pace and connect the catchers mitt to the end so you don’t ooze a trail of bile like a slug trail behind you. Thank God for Analgesics.
I’m hoping that after the honeymoon period that the pain will subside so it’s more comfortable than the first time which was anything but. It’s a start however, and I have a solid group of friends and family that are all close by which will help.
So at least there’s that – which is a lot.
